Errol made sporadic appearances in the show ring in 2016, as father Freddie and half sister Star were being shown. He made a visit to Madison, OH where he won WD and then WD/BOB, beating two Top 10 Basenjis on the final day, plus two puppy group placements. He then headed back to Ontario where he was RWD at the Canadian National, BOB the following day, won three puppy groups and a BBE group, then headed down to Missouri for the American National as a new Canadian champion. At the BCOA National he won his 9-12 puppy class, the 9-12 puppy class at the Gateway Hound Club specialty the following day, and again at both all breeds shows following that.
