Star won an AKC 3pt major at her very first show, followed quickly by a 5pt major. She was also BOS in Sweeps at New Jersey Hound, August 2016. In Canada she made her debut at Brockville, winning BOB from the classes over two top 5 Basenjis. A couple of weeks later she was Best in Sweeps at the Basenji Club of Canada National Specialty, also winning the bred-by class. In 2017 Star won another two majors in the US. She finished with a 5pt major, going BOS in York, PA from a large entry under respected hound judge Virginia Lyne. In 2018, Star made two trips to New York, gaining her Grand Championship at the New Paltz and Bainbridge shows.
Star has now added lure coursing to her activities. She placed in the Open Stake in the ASFA trial at the BCOA National 2017, also helping dad Freddie to win the Breeder Stake. Star was the second Basenji to win Best in Field at OLCA (Ontario Lure Coursing Association) at their spring trial 2018, following in dad's footsteps.
