Markle won Best Puppy in Specialty and also Best in Puppy Sweeps at the Canadian National aged just 6 months, under breed specialist Bob Dawson. He began his show career in earnest two months later, winning a 4 point major in Marion, Ohio, another 4 pt major in Canfield, Ohio, and then back to Canada where he quickly gained his Canadian title along with multiple BOBs, two G3s, a G4 and 7 puppy groups. Returning to the US, he won two 5 pt majors with BOB at the St. Clair KC shows in Michigan, finishing on 18pts with 4 majors. Both Canadian and American championships were finished in only 7 weekends. Markle is currently a Top 10 Canadian Basenji.
